Forgotten God: The Living Water

Every human being arrives in this world thirsty — not just for water, but for something permanent, something pure, something that does not run dry at 2 in the morning when all the achievements have been celebrated and the crowd has gone home. Even the Samaritan woman, in John chapter 4, tried five wells and was still thirsty. Even now there is a generation of believers sitting in church pews, well-informed and worship-experienced, and still thirsty. The Holy Spirit is the answer that Jesus proclaimed at the height of a national celebration — not quietly in a corner but standing, crying out with holy urgency: come to Me and drink. And the promise is not a modest one. He does not promise a cup. He promises rivers.

The believer who is continuously filled with the Spirit becomes not just satisfied themselves but a channel through which God's abundance flows to others. When you carry the Living Water, the dry and desperate people around you sense it. They are drawn to what they cannot name, but their souls recognize the Source. The invitation of this message is not for the spiritually elite — it is for the thirsty. And if there is one thing this world has in abundance, it is thirsty people. Let the church be the place where they find the Living Water in this dry and barren land — and let us carry that water wherever we go.
